Has anyone else managed to saw through their jib fairleads yet?? Mine are almost completely killed. I am looking into a better system than the plastic fairleads.. I plan to take the fairlead assembly to bit and see if a block can be fitted in its place.....

Yes we have a similar situation developing. After a few hard sails this season we noticed that the fairleads were beginning to wear. Once the glossy shell of the moulding has gone the rate of wear seems to increase. I guess I'll be changing them sometime this winter. Any comments Mr James?

Hello all,

I have never heard of this happening before, I have spoken to Rob our friendly Customer service manager and he has had one instance recorded from a sailing school,
We will now be monitoring it, If you do have any major concerns and belive this is an issue please feel free to phone Rob Gutteridge, he will have the components tested to see if they are sub standard
