I finally decided to act and rid myself of the one thing that was detracting from my enjoyment of sailing the Stratos. I found a small business in Hamble who do most of the warrenty and repair work for Hyde sails. They charge £25.00/hour ,which easily covered the work on my sail and I was able to collect thus reducing the cost further. They are more than happy to take this work on, details are:

They provided a prompt, proffesional and friendly service along with quality workmanship. They have my recommendation - there is now room for 2 mainsails in the one bag! Joy at last.
Yes.. winter project for us I think! It's already been to the Sail loft to get patches fitted where it contacts with the spreaders... I think a factory fit of wear patches here would be a good plan.
