I have noticed that the vents on eitgher side of my boat are fitted differently. What I mean is that the vents on the port side are fitted with the vanes pointing up, and on the starboard side they face down. This applies to the vents both above the seats and on the transom. Is this normal (and if so why?)or have they been fitted incorrectly.

mine point all the same way but I can't remember which way!. Will confirm next weekend.

Mine point "downward" - checked yesterday. As do the ones astern. My guess is this is correct - otherwise they may take on wash or spilt liquid refreshment.
