Me gain I'm afraid.

I've now raced my Stratos twice since buying her, both times in a F5+. I note that the rigging instructions mention the shroud plate positions for the lowers as hole three, loosened for stronger winds. When I did this, they just remained loose for the entire race irrespective of rig tension. There is also nothing in the instructions for main shroud pin positions although I assume that the stronger the wind, the lower the pin position.

Any guidance?

Martin

Maybe a stupid comment but have you tried pulling harder on the jib halyard? It sometimes feels tight when it is actually just stuck in the mast track groove.

I also have my shrouds set on 5 or 6 holes down when it gets windy but I am still slower up wind than both Mr Beggs and Mr Sallis!
