Posted - 25 Mar 2009 : 22:28:29 Hi all.
Just wondered if anyone has local knowledge and can advise on campsites within easy reach of Whitstable Yacht Club. We fancy the idea of camping for the weekend, assuming the weather's ok....
Any info gratefully received.

Posted - 02 Jul 2009 : 20:22:46 Unfortunately will not be able to make the Nationals this year.......other sailing commitments have interfered but I hope it all goes well and you manage to get some enjoyable and fun racing in....hopefully will be back next year ...

Posted - 02 Jul 2009 : 20:10:31 We may try and get our boat out and join you for a fun sail on Friday, but as Sandy will be at work the conditions will have to be fairly easy as the kids don't really have the strength to pull the sheets yet.
What time are you thinking of going out?

The post that Sandy is referring to is the main thread about the Nationals at http://www.laserstratos.org.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=534

Posted - 17 Apr 2009 : 21:05:02 Thanks Sandy, Neil,
Spoke with the office at WYC - very helpful. The kids are looking forward to camping though, so we'll book somewhere this week and hope for some better weather this year! What's the chance of us outnumbering the Wanderers?

Posted - 17 Apr 2009 : 18:20:20 Sandy, did your post work? I can see nothing new in the racing part of the forum.

Posted - 14 Apr 2009 : 19:10:05 I have just posted some more details about the Nationals on the racing part of the forum - take a look. Regarding accomodation - that link to the WYC website in good. Perhaps look at the option of staying in the clubs rooms that are available to rent but PLEASE do this soon as they get booked up quickly. Sandy |

You have probably seen this but this link from the club website has some ideas - http://www.wyc.org.uk/about/accommodation
Other than that will probably be looking myself pretty soon so let me know if you find anything decent/close enough to weave our way home etc..as for the weather...hopefully better than last year where we slept in a tent that ended up horizontal with the wind
Cheers
