Has anyone fitted a topping lift to their staratos c/b ? I go on holiday with my family to north wales for two weeks each year and it would be good to be able to keep the boom up and main rigged to make launching and beaching quicker. Any advice / experience would be appreciated - thanks.

I use the main halyard. Just tie a stopper knot and slip through outhaul slot at end of boom. You can use an elastic wrapped around the main sail to keep it in place ( which I use when motoring to / from mooring), or roll neatly and tie to boom ( which I use overnight on mooring).

Tape the end of the boom so that when it's released it doesn't scratch the transom area.

I thought of other solutions e.g. topping lift attached from holes at mast head, but found the halyard idea ok.
