I've agreed with my sailing club and with Sophie to hold the Stratos nationals this year at Leigh on Sea (in Essex). The formula will be 1 practise race and one proper race on Saturday and two races on Sunday. Two out of three races to count, this means that people only need to race Sunday to qualify (if they are that confident!). Views please?

Doug
Sounds good to me. Does this mean that we can adjust your handicap so that you don't have an advantage?

Blimey, you sound like our Sailing Secretary and half the RS400 fleet! I thought the upside of organising was home advantage.

It is of course your advantage but you are already too fast.

Both Jim Thomas and myself are grateful that you will be hosting this event and will certainly be there.Let us hope that the weather will be kinder and more people compete. The arrangements for the event sound fine and we hope that the cockle fishing fleet will not get in the way.Look forward to the event.
