I would like to gauge what support there would be for the association to alter the Class rules to allow any sail maker and of necessity introduce a set of measurements for the sails.
We could invite Hyde to propose a set of measurements that would fit with their current measurements and construction tolerances. The benefit would I hope be lower prices and possible better quality, at present Hydes make a margin and then laser mark-up on top of that. Certainly laser replica sails made by Rooster are considerably cheaper and last longer as well.
