Hi, Does anyone know the PY No. for a Stratos and also what the effect is on the pY if you use the trapeze ? The sailor is now doing rather well on handicap, and is quite fast upwind using the trapeze, so just want to make sure everyone is happy before those being beaten start using it as an excuse. It's all on this website but for info, we are 1083, with a 'suggested' 1073 if you're trapezing. My personal view (definitely not for repetition to non-Stratos owners) is that 1083 is a bit generous. I'm very heavy, but after switching from a Laser 2000 went from mid fleet to top three. I can normally beat Laser 1's upwind which is my benchmark as they are on 1078, and then depending on the course/wind strength, downwind is either crap or awesome. Laser's Technical manager think's the Strat is a pothunters boat. I am meanwhile, ammassing quite a collection!
