Posted - 10 Mar 2008 : 23:08:43 I have a quick question. I only recently bought a stratos and this past weekend I was sailing my stratos keel with two reefs in the main. The boat would not bear away when a squall came. Putting more tension in the kicking strap and so stretching the leach did help a little but I was wondering if this was a known problem with the Stratos in this sail format or under certain wind conditions?

Not sure what point of sailing you were on but if you heeled in the gust a lot bearing away may be difficult even with alot of main eased for the bear away. Downwind it helps to have some kicker off and and a flat(ish) boat otherwise the bear away in strong winds particularly with the spinnaker up becomes a bit of a struggle but you may know all of this anyway !
