Posted - 03 Jan 2009 : 21:02:24 There are a group of us hoping to do a long trip (possibly to France) in some stratos keels. Has anyone slept overnight in one? How do you raise yourself off the deck to keep dry?
Thanks Andrew |

Posted - 08 Jan 2009 : 12:03:36 Its very much in the planning stage for around Sept. Possibly starting in erith in london, working along the kent coast to ramsgate then over the channel. Taking 3-5 boats (all begged and borrowed from clubs and centres). |

Posted - 04 Jan 2009 : 17:56:07 Not sure about this one but have experimented with a small tent and sleeping bags in dry bags. You can actually carry a fair bit of kit in the boat dependent on how many crew etc........in terms of sleeping on board can't really think of a solution (Wayfarers have the advantage here !) other than some form of waterproof layer/sheet and thermal layer on top and curl up under an awning ! Good luck, how many of you are going and where are you sailing from ?
